Westland Wasp
A project that has been a long time in the making
.
A one off model built for a customer who specified a turbine, not electric and wanted something a bit different.
We took one of our Scout fuselages and modified it to make the Wasp.
A new mould was created for the Wasp tail boom
which is quite different to the Scout
The fusegae was cut and new panel
fitted to create the mounting points
for the wheeled undercarriage.
A set of woodwork was designd and cut to mount the turbine mechanics, to hold the two fuel tanks and to support
the mounting points for the rear undercarriage
