Prize winning and unique 1/10 Scale Sikorsky HH-3F ‘Pelican’ as used by the US Coast Guard from the mid 1960s through to the late ‘80s.  Also famously utilised by the US Air Force  as the HH-3E or ‘Jolly Green Giant’ for combat rescue missions during the Vietnam War.

This model is largely scratch built by Paul Hazell and is a one-off. Model is highly detailed and includes a working tail ramp and cabin door as well as retracting tricycle undercarriage. Requires an 8-channel radio (currently configured to run with a Spektrum system). Has a scale crew of three and a fully detailed cockpit. It is ready to fly but is sold without a set of rotor-blades (requires Vario blades No. 404/52).
Specification is as follows: ·      Hybrid mechanics mainly utilising SAB Goblin and Vario components. ·      Latest Skookum SK720 Gyro ·      Dual battery receiver system (using 2x 3S lipo batteries) with automatic redundancy        if one battery was to fail in flight. Included in the sale. ·      Motor: Xnova 4025 300kv ·      Castle Creations 120 Amp ESC ·      12S power for the motor utilizing a pair of 30C 6S 8000mha batteries         giving an 8-minute flight time. Included in the sale ·      Flying weight of 14.5 kg ·      Length 1940mm (6’ 4”) ·      Rotor diameter 1880mm (6’ 2”)
If using a Spektrum transmitter I can supply the models TX settings installed on an SD card. Shipping possible at buyers expense – would be far simpler to collect however.
